Oswayo Valley has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will host the Austin Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
On Monday, Oswayo Valley had just enough and edged Galeton out 3-2.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Oswayo Valley who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 20-25, 25-20, 17-25, 15-8.
Meanwhile, Austin entered their tilt with Coudersport on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Falcons.
Austin was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (104-101), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-21, 18-25, 27-25, 15-8.
Oswayo Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Austin, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
