Softball Recap: Midview Middies vs. Wadsworth Grizzlies

In what's become a running theme this season, Midview gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past the Wadsworth Grizzlies 16-6. Winning may never get old, but Midview sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Savannah Holcomb was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Holcomb has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in six consecutive pitching appearances. Holcomb was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5.

In other batting news, Nina Ballachino was a standout: she fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5. Lily Thomasheski was another key contributor, going 5-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and three RBI.
