Softball Recap: Nitro Comes Up Short

Nitro fell victim to Winfield and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Generals, falling 12-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Generals recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Nitro's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Winfield, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Looking ahead, Nitro will square off against South Charleston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Winfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chapmanville Regional at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
