Softball Recap: Bayshore Comes Up Short

After flying high against Gibbs last Thursday, Bayshore came back down to earth. The Bruins came up short against the DeSoto County Bulldogs on Monday, falling 25-1. The Bruins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Bayshore now has a losing record of 4-5. As for DeSoto County, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bayshore will head out to challenge Southeast at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Seminoles have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for DeSoto County, they are taking a road trip to square off against Avon Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
