Football Game Preview: Medina Battling Bees vs. Strongsville Mustangs

The Medina Battling Bees will venture away from home to square off against the Strongsville Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Medina took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 33-30 win over Lorain. The victory was some much needed relief for the Battling Bees as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Strongsville hadn't beaten Brunswick on the road since October 27, 2017 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Mustangs strolled past the Blue Devils with points to spare, taking the game 24-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Mustangs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Blue Devils are ranked 220th).

Medina's record now sits at 3-7. As for Strongsville, their record is now 8-2.

Medina was dealt a bruising 42-14 loss at the hands of Strongsville in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Battling Bees avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
