Basketball Recap: Fredericksburg Christian Comes Up Short

Fredericksburg Christian and Seton squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Fredericksburg Christian had to settle for second. They lost to the Seton Conquistadors on the road by a 68-53 margin. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Fredericksburg Christian lost, don't look at Amri Donado. Despite the final result, she went 6-for-13 to rack up 21 points in addition to six boards and five assists. That was a full 39.6% of Fredericksburg Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row Donado has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Layna Thomas, who put up ten points along with six assists and three steals.

Fredericksburg Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Seton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

Fredericksburg Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-46 defeat against Hampton Roads Academy on the 26th.
