Softball Recap: North White Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

North White dropped their record down to 3-3 on Thursday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They fell 6-1 to the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies. The matchup marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

North White saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adriann Conn, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

As for Kouts, their record is now 2-3. They haven't had any issues with North White recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

On Kouts' side, Katelyn Kleckner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cassie Breitzke, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Reese Carden also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Looking ahead, North White will be playing in front of their home fans against Caston at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Kouts, they have already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against Boone Grove on the 18th.
