Baseball Recap: Campbell Hall Comes Up Short

The Campbell Hall Vikings came up short against the Valley Christian Defenders on Friday, falling 14-6.

Nasir Akil made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Page, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Campbell Hall's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Valley Christian, they moved to 3-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Campbell Hall will square off against Viewpoint at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Campbell Hall's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Valley Christian, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 win against Long Beach Poly on the 3rd.
