Basketball Recap: Stanberry Bulldogs vs. Worth County Tigers

Stanberry lost against Worth County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Stanberry Bulldogs lost 54-32 to the Worth County Tigers. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Worth County found their leader in sophomore Cole Ruby, who went 11 of 15 on his way to 28 points in addition to five boards and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ruby has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Karson Briner, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.

Stanberry's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Worth County, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

When Stanberry and Worth County next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Stanberry will try to stop St. Joseph Christian's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. Similarly, Worth County will try to stop Princeton's nine-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
