Volleyball Recap: St. Xavier Bombers vs. Perry Meridian Falcons
St. Xavier is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Perry Meridian. The Bombers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bombers.
Their offense was headlined by Rece Hausfeld and Joe Taggart, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Leo Miller and his 19 assists. Taggart was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.
St. Xavier's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Perry Meridian, their loss dropped their record down to 16-2.
Looking ahead, St. Xavier will take on Elder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Perry Meridian, they will face off against Mooresville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
