Basketball Recap: East Tech Skates Past Garrett Morgan with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely East Tech's strategy against Garrett Morgan on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Scarabs blew the Falcons out of the water with a 48-15 final score. The Scarabs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

East Tech was led to victory by Heaven Thorn and Brooke Allen. Thorn almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds, while Allen went 5-for-9 on her way to 11 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamauria Phillips, who posted nine points and four steals.

East Tech was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

East Tech's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Garrett Morgan, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
