Football Recap: Menchville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Menchville extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-4. They came up short against the Woodside Wolverines, falling 41-21. The Monarchs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Woodside, the win got them back to even at 2-2. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Daniel Young continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 162 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Terris Bowen Iii, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Menchville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-0 loss against Warwick on the 3rd. As for Woodside, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 36-12 victory against Kecoughtan on the 4th.
