Halfway came tearing into Monday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hermitage Hornets an 18-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cardinals also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Halfway pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
