Soccer Game Preview: Smithson Valley vs. Alamo Heights

The Smithson Valley Rangers will venture away from home to square off against the Alamo Heights Mules at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Smithson Valley's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Smithson Valley narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Boerne-Champion 4-3. That's two games straight that the Rangers have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Alamo Heights' game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Veterans Memorial. The win continues a trend for the Mules in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won six in a row.

Alamo Heights' record now sits at 7-5. As for Smithson Valley, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
