 Exeter Township was the  12-1 winner over Reading when they last played one another  on April 10th, but their luck changed this time around. The Exeter Township Eagles took  a  9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Reading Red KNights on Monday. Exeter Township just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
  Joel Ummarino made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Carter Redding, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 Even though they lost, Exeter Township  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with ten  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Reading only tossed six.
 On Reading's side,  David Garcia looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Frandy Ruiz, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-4.
 Exeter Township's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Reading, their victory bumped their record up to 2-13.
 Exeter Township will be playing in front of their home fans against Governor Mifflin at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Governor Mifflin will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  win, something Exeter Township surely won't give up without a fight. As for Reading, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Wilson at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Reading is no doubt hoping to put an end to  an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
