Volleyball Recap: Solon Comets vs. Wadsworth Grizzlies

Solon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They came up short against the Wadsworth Grizzlies, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-14.

Wadsworth found their leader in sophomore Ellie Wolf, who had ten digs and two aces. Wolf has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Solon's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Wadsworth, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Solon will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wooster at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Wadsworth, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against North Allegheny on the 11th.
