Baseball Recap: Central Spartans vs. Calexico Bulldogs

Central had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 8-10 to make it four. They fell just short of the Calexico Bulldogs by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Spartans have suffered since March 7th.

Nico Viesca spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered six runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Central is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise.
