Baseball Recap: Central City Value Comes Up Short

Central City Value lost against Downtown Magnets back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Jaguars lost 14-3 to the Suns. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Angel Santiago made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with five stolen bases and two runs. Santiago is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Marvin Balux was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases.

Central City Value now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Downtown Magnets, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Central City Value will host Collins Family at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Central City Value's pitchers better be ready for this one: Collins Family has averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Downtown Magnets, they are taking a road trip to challenge Animo Bunche at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Suns are facing the Stallions at the right time seeing as the Stallions are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
