Baseball Recap: Lennard Comes Up Short

Lennard lost against King last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Lennard fell just short of King by a score of 5-4. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christian Skaggs was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Samuel Nobrega made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Mikie Locke, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Lennard's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for King, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.

Lennard wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Plant City on the 25th. As for King, they have also already played their next game, a 7-5 win against Armwood on the 25th.
