Basketball Recap: Mulberry Falls to Lake Region in First Game of Season

Mulberry had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a blow against the Lake Region Thunder, falling 71-35. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.

Lake Region can attribute much of their success to Q'Wanii Flemming, who posted 16 points. Kaiden Martin was another key player, putting up ten points.

The victory got Lake Region back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Mulberry will face off against Kathleen at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Region, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Winter Haven at 8:00 p.m. on December 2.
