Basketball Recap: Lyman Comes Up Short

Lyman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Powell Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 42-30 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Lyman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Powell, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lyman will head out to challenge Lovell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Powell, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mountain View at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
