Canton lost to Novi back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Canton Cobras escaped with a win against the Novi Wildcats by the margin of a single free throw, 39-38. Winning may never get old, but the Cobras sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Canton was led to victory by Kessler Blakita and Lem Pettway. Blakita went 6 of 9 en route to 14 points and eight boards, while Pettway posted 11 points. Pettway is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Nick Hurley, who earned six points.

Canton pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Novi, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.

Canton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 35-33 win against Cadillac on the 8th. As for Novi, they are taking a road trip to challenge Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Novi is facing Salem at the right time seeing as Salem is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
