Basketball Recap: Windsor Central Find Success

Windsor Central hadn't done well against Chenango Forks recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Windsor Central Black Knights managed a 53-49 victory over the Chenango Forks Blue Devils. This was payback for the Black Knights, who suffered a 53-30 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Chenango Forks' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nate Raab, who went 6 of 11 en route to 15 points and eight rebounds. Those 15 points gave Raab a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Vaseleck, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Windsor Central's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Windsor Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-56 defeat against Dryden on the 9th. As for Chenango Forks, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-50 loss against Owego Free Academy on the 12th.
