Baseball Game Preview: Orchard Park Quakers vs. Jamestown Red & Green

Orchard Park is 9-1 against Jamestown since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Quakers will host the Red & Green at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Orchard Park's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Jamestown has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

Orchard Park gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Frontier by a score of 4-1. The Quakers haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Zach Nalawadi spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brody Monaco was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Williamsville North hit Jamestown with a four-run fifth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red & Green came up short against the Spartans, falling 7-1.

Jamestown's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Orchard Park, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Orchard Park took their victory against Jamestown in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-3 score. Will the Quakers repeat their success, or do the Red & Green have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
