Locust Fork had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Pennington Tigers on Monday as they made off with a 20-1 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Locust Fork is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pennington, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-25.

Locust Fork wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-0 victory against Hanceville on the 29th. As for Pennington, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-12 win against Holly Pond on the 28th.
