Sheridan barely beat Palestine-Wheatley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Yellowjackets' pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots an 8-0 shutout on Saturday. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Sheridan has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Palestine-Wheatley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.
