Volleyball Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus lost against St. Anne-Pacelli back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Columbus sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 15-13.

Keira Parsons paced Columbus' offense, picking up nine kills. Parsons got some help from Emma Cicora and her 23 assists. Marianna Ollervidez controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Harris County on Thursday. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they will square off against Shaw at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
