Volleyball Recap: Three Straight Home Wins for Bellflower

Bellflower won the last time they faced Paramount and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Buccaneers came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buccaneers.

While Bellflower might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Paramount scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-22, 25-20.

Geovanny Sanchez paced Bellflower's offense, picking up 20 kills. Sanchez got some help from Aydan Flores and his 39 assists. Johan Canedo controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Bellflower pushed their record up to 16-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Paramount, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Bellflower and Paramount could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Buccaneers (ranked 242nd) will meet Warren (ranked 62nd) at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Paramount will face off against Downey at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (695 vs. 291).
