Basketball Game Preview: Bucklin Red Aces vs. Attica Bulldogs

Bucklin and Attica are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Bucklin Red Aces will welcome the Attica Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

Bucklin came up short against Kiowa County on Tuesday, falling 72-49. While losing is never fun, the Red Aces can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Mavericks are ranked 82nd).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Attica, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They snuck past South Haven with a 48-43 victory on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bucklin's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Attica, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Bucklin beat Attica 50-39 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Will Bucklin repeat their success, or does Attica have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
