Volleyball Recap: Hinkley Takes a Loss

If Hinkley was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Denver West last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Thunder lost 3-0 to the Rangeview Raiders on Monday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Thunder were not able to get on the board.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-18.

Rangeview can attribute much of their success to Johnathan Broderick, who had 18 digs and one assist. Broderick is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Hinkley's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Rangeview, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hinkley will welcome Denver East at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rangeview, they will be playing at home against DSST: College View at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight.
