 With a playoff game on the line, Mekeel Christian Academy rose to the challenge  on Saturday. Everything went their way against the North Warren Central Cougars as they made off with  a  7-1 win. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for Mekeel Christian Academy as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
  Caleb Hussey and  Napoleon Read were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound,  Hussey   didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Meanwhile,  Read   pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Hussey has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Hussey  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Read  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Mekeel Christian Academy let  Daniel Hussey and  Jeramiah Rodriguez loose on the outfield. Hussey  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 1-for-3, while  Rodriguez  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
 On North Warren Central's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Maceo Matson, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with a  double.
 Mekeel Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for North Warren Central, their loss was  their fifth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 7-8.
 As of now, neither Mekeel Christian Academy nor North Warren Central have any future games scheduled.
