It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Saint Francis ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Capuchino Mustangs 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Lancers, who have now won five matches in a row.

Brody Larocque looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Tanner Wall, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Saint Francis' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Capuchino, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.

Saint Francis wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Sequoia on the 14th. As for Capuchino, they will be playing in front of their home fans against King's Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. King's Academy's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Capuchino's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
