Warsaw gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the McCutcheon Mavericks 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since September 28, 2024.

Warsaw was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (99-98), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-18, 25-21, 17-25, 15-10.

Coincidentally, Warsaw and McCutcheon will both be playing Hamilton Southeastern the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Royals at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mavericks will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
