Baseball Recap: Keefe Tech's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Keefe Tech waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Blackstone-Millville Chargers by a score of 6-1. For the Broncos, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 victory the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Chris Anastos made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Keefe Tech is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Anastos was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nate DeBoer, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Will Deveau also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Keefe Tech now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Blackstone-Millville, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Keefe Tech will face off against Worcester Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Broncos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Blackstone-Millville, they will square off against Douglas at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
