Softball Recap: Buckingham Charter Comes Up Short

If Buckingham Charter was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Leroy Greene Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Buckingham Charter Knights came up short against the Woodland Christian Cardinals on Friday, falling 24-3. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Juliette Spencer was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Buckingham Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buckingham Charter will take on Winters at 4:00 p.m. on February 28th. Woodland Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fairfield at 4:00 p.m. on March 5th.
