Volleyball Recap: Travis Comes Up Short

Travis came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Crockett Cougars, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Travis was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-9, 25-22.

Travis dropped their record down to 2-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Crockett, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-14 record this season.

Travis and Crockett will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rebels are set to take on their familiar foe LBJ Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Crockett will square off against rival Cedar Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
