Softball Game Preview: Pacifica Tritons vs. Santa Barbara Dons

For the second straight game, Pacifica will face off against Santa Barbara. The Tritons will host the Dons at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Pacifica barely beat Santa Barbara the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tritons put the hurt on the Dons with a sharp 12-2 victory on Tuesday. The Tritons haven't had any issues with the Dons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jordyn Hernandez looked comfortable as she pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, Pacifica got a massive performance out of Aubrey Colvin, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most hits Colvin has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Dimyla Aupiu, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Pacifica's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-11 and their overall record up to 5-13. As for Santa Barbara, their defeat was their tenth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-19.
