Basketball Recap: Greenville Takes a Loss

Greenville lost against Denison on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Greenville Lions came up short against the Denison Yellow Jackets, falling 70-50. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 615th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 178th).

Greenville has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-16 record this season. As for Denison, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.

Greenville will host Lovejoy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Denison, they are taking a road trip to face off against Sherman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
