A Season-Best Performance from Cedric Hillmon Leads Turner County over Irwin County

Sadly, Cedric Hillmon posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Turner County over Irwin County on Friday. Hillmon threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns.

Turner County is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6. Hillmon and Turner County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crawford County at 7:00 p.m. on October 17th.

Irwin County Gets a Boost from Marshall in 42-30 Victory

Shane Marshall's big game helped extend Irwin County's winning streak to six on Friday. Turner County had no answer to Marshall as he rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Marshall's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 114 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Unfortunately for Turner County, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Marshall. When Marshall last faced the Titans back in September of 2023, he rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 33 receiving yards.

Irwin County Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Jason Jackson

Jason Jackson was instrumental in extending Irwin County's winning streak to six on Friday. Jackson turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.

For the year, Jackson has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 77.3 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 45.83 rushing yards per game.

Curtis Grant Makes It Two for Turner County
