Baseball Recap: Telstar Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Telstar had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Madison Bulldogs a 3-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Not much got past Brennan Walker, who gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep Madison off the board. With that strong performance, Walker is now averaging an impressive 5.4 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, Telstar saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maceo Bartlett, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Bryson Walker was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Telstar's victory bumped their record up to 14-3-1. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

As of now, neither Telstar nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
