Basketball Recap: Marengo Gets the Win

It's playoff time, and Marengo had no trouble coming through when it counted. They secured a 53-47 W over the Choctaw County Tigers on Saturday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 55-34 back in January.

Despite the loss, Choctaw County still got an impressive performance from Jarrod Chaney, who went 5 for 11 en route to 14 points and three steals. Daylen Blakley was another key player, putting up nine points.

Marengo's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Choctaw County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.

As of now, neither Marengo nor Choctaw County have any future games scheduled.
