            The Worcester Academy Hilltoppers will venture away from home to  square off against the Lawrence Academy Spartans  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Worcester Academy is coming into the  match on  a  four-game losing streak.
Wednesday just wasn't the day for Worcester Academy's offense. They came up short against  Dexter Southfield on Wednesday, falling  6-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Hilltoppers' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

 Worcester Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Liam Daly, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base. Daly is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played.
Meanwhile, Lawrence Academy was able to grind out a solid  victory over St. George's on Thursday, taking the game  6-1. The  win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won six in a row.
Lawrence Academy also got a great performance from  John Paone as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Charlie Beauregard was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI.  Daniel Nuti also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
 Lawrence Academy's record is now 8-4. As for Worcester Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8-1.
 Everything went Worcester Academy's way against Lawrence Academy in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024, as Worcester Academy made off with  a  13-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hilltoppers since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
