Soccer Recap: Cesar E. Chavez Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Cesar E. Chavez was not quite Westside's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Westside Wolves by a score of 2-1. The Lobos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Wolves earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Cesar E. Chavez's goal came courtesy of Michael Flores, who's now up to six this season.

Cesar E. Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Westside, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Cesar E. Chavez will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Wisdom at 2:00 p.m. As for Westside, they and Heights will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Westside's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
