Basketball Recap: Edison Comes Up Short

Edison lost against Bridgeport two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Edison Wildcats'2024 ended with a 66-49 loss against the Bridgeport Bulldogs. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bridgeport found their leader in sophomore Jaleel Vincent, who went 13 of 23 en route to 36 points along with five assists and five boards. Vincent's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaki Threet, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points and three steals.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bridgeport, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Edison will head out to face off against Indian Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Bridgeport, they will host Frontier at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
