Volleyball Recap: Tolman Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

Tolman had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Woonsocket Villa Novans 3-0. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Villa Novans, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Tolman took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-15, 25-12.

Hayson Ortiz paced Tolman's offense, picking up nine kills. Ortiz got some help from Jean-Lucas Barroso and his 17 assists. Barroso was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Tolman's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. As for Woonsocket, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
