Wimberley entered their tilt with Bandera on Friday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the BULLDOGS 16-6. Considering the Texans have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaden Hall made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Wimberley let Bryson Anderson and Ty Thames run wild. Anderson scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances, while Thames got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Anderson has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Gentry McGinnis also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Wimberley pushed their record up to 12-3-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bandera, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wimberley is set to square off against their familiar foe Fredericksburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Texans 3.8, the Billies 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Bandera will take on rival Navarro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
