Basketball Game Preview: Denver South Ravens vs. Rangeview Raiders

The Denver South Ravens are taking a road trip to challenge the Rangeview Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, Denver South came up short against Vista PEAK Prep and fell 60-53.

Despite the loss, Denver South saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ka'Niya Anderson posted 15 points and six rebounds. Alex Gehring was another key player, going 5 for 11 on her way to 11 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Rangeview was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 54-49 to Northfield.

Rangeview has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season. As for Denver South, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-4.

Denver South came up short against Rangeview in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 60-56. Can Denver South avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
