Basketball Recap: Menard Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Irion County, Menard was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They escaped with a win against the Zephyr Bulldogs by the margin of a single free throw, 34-33. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Menard has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Zephyr, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menard will square off against Rochelle at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Zephyr, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Priddy at 6:00 p.m. on the 19th.
