Basketball Game Preview: Rivercrest Colts vs. Walnut Ridge Bobcats

The Rivercrest Colts will face off against the Walnut Ridge Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rivercrest will be strutting in after a win while Walnut Ridge will be coming in after a defeat.

Rivercrest will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Osceola, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Rivercrest sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-57 victory over Osceola on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.

Meanwhile, Walnut Ridge ended up a good deal behind Harrisburg on Monday and lost 56-39. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Rivercrest has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points per game. As for Walnut Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-16.

Rivercrest beat Walnut Ridge 48-38 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Rivercrest have another victory up their sleeve, or will Walnut Ridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
