Volleyball Recap: Triton Comes Up Short

Triton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Northern Nash Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Triton took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 15-25, 23-25, 25-15, 15-10.

Triton's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Northern Nash, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coming up, Triton will square off against Lee County at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northern Nash, they will take on Fike at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
